This is a great collection of speculative fiction short stories. Speculative Fiction is a genre that I am not as familiar with as others. My thoughts were that it was science fiction stories. However, Jean does an excellent job with each story and is able to make it clear that this is not just science fiction.
You have to think Isaac Asimov or Phillip K. Dick here. I was mesmerized by the story-telling in this collection. I kept thinking, how does she do it? By the end of the book, I was blown away with the brilliant imagination it took to write stories of this kind. I could never do it. But I am glad that Jean continues to do so.
