Granny Pat's Raisin Bread Pudding

Ingredients

8 slices of bread, cubed. (It slices easier if you put it in the freezer for a few minutes.)

4 eggs

2 cups milk

¼ cup sugar

¼ cup melted butter

½ cup raisins

½ tsp cinnamon

Sauce

2 tsp butter

2 tbsp flour

1 cup water

¾ cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

*Grease or put liner into 3 quart crock pot.

*Put bread cubes into the pot.

*In large bowl, beat eggs and milk. Stir in sugar, butter, raisins, and cinnamon.

*Pour over bread and stir.

*Cook on high for 1 hour, then on low for 3-4 hours.

*Before serving, melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add water, sugar and vanilla.

*Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes until thickened.

*Serve hot over bread pudding.
