The Mister by E.L. James

Writer's picture: Marianne WielandMarianne Wieland

I liked the book, but I can't say I loved it. The story was good about a rich playboy and the turmoil that comes into his life when he inherits all the family's titles and wealth. Not being one for much responsibility, he has a bad attitude for the whole thing.

Max Trevelyan has a weakness for sleeping with as many women as possible. Enter his new housekeeper who has a troubled past and no interest in him and that sets up his desire to have the one thing out of his reach. However, his heart and protective side kicks in and he finds himself trying to keep the disaster from hurting the musically gifted young woman.

I found that the plot drags on too long and I found myself losing interest after a while. But I eventually finished it and like I say. It was okay. It is a great book if you like a lot of angst and secrets.
